  • The Life Awareness Program
    Freedom in Community Restorative Ministry

The Life Awareness Program is written in a dialogue form. Selected participants read the part of a spiritually awakened Friend In Deed (FID) or a spiritual slumbering Friend In Need (FIN). The remainder of the small group listens to the discussion as it unfolds. The dynamics of the session begin when the individuals in the group begin to react to the dialogue.

  • One Man's Treasure clothes closet
    Freedom in Community Restorative Ministry

An important part of FCRM's effort to help ex-offenders re-enter society is One Man's Treasure Clothes Closet. Volunteers at the Clothes Closet provide presentable clothing to ex-offenders, allowing them to adopt positive self-images as they face a new world and try to find jobs.

  • Mentoring
    Freedom in Community Restorative Ministry

FCRM matches each offender with a prison mentor and community mentor. Prison mentors provide counseling during the 6-month pre release period, community mentors for 6-month post release. The mentor team integrates and coordinates activities among (religious and secular) volunteers and organizations in creating a holistic program specific to the needs of the individual. The result is an in-place faith, family and physical support network upon release.
